A top price for Barkley L. Hendricks - as previously expected
The work Stanley by Barkley L. Hendricks was sold in the A Century of Art: The Gerald Fineberg Collection Part I auction at Christies in New York in May this year. The price achieved of USD 6,100,000.00 (€ 5,725,549.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000,000.00 – 7,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Stanley is the most expensive artwork by Barkley L. Hendricks that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Stanley von Barkley L. Hendricks wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion A Century of Art: The Gerald Fineberg Collection Part I bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.100.000,00 (€ 5.725.549,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000.000,00 – 7.000.000,00 angegeben worden.
