Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled XIIIc by Anne Chu was auctioned at Phillips in New York in December 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,279.94). Admittedly, works by Anne Chu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woman With Pigtails in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 48,000.00 (€ 36,196.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled XIIIc von Anne Chu im Dezember 2007 bei Phillips in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.279,94) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anne Chu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woman With Pigtails im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 48.000,00 (€ 36.196,37).
