Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work From Lapland no. 3 by Anne Chu was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in December 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,275.00 (€ 1,126.52). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anne Chu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman With Pigtails in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 48,000.00 (€ 36,196.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit From Lapland no. 3 von Anne Chu im Dezember 2021 bei Bonhams in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.275,00 (€ 1.126,52) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anne Chu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman With Pigtails im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 48.000,00 (€ 36.196,37).
