Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Anne Chu could be acquired at Phillips in New York in March 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Under the Influence auction, the work Guardian and House changed hands for USD 18,750.00 (€ 11,863.33) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anne Chu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Woman With Pigtails, which sold at auction in November 2006 for USD 48,000.00 (€ 36,196.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anne Chu konnte im März 2008 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Under the Influence wechselte die Arbeit Guardian and House für USD 18.750,00 (€ 11.863,33) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Anne Chu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Woman With Pigtails beobachtet, die im November 2006 für USD 48.000,00 (€ 36.196,37) versteigert wurde.
