Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Civic Official by Anne Chu. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,089.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anne Chu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Woman With Pigtails, which sold at auction in November 2006 for USD 48,000.00 (€ 36,196.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2010 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Civic Official von Anne Chu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.089,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Anne Chu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Woman With Pigtails beobachtet, die im November 2006 für USD 48.000,00 (€ 36.196,37) versteigert wurde.
