Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Swallows Around His Neck (I) by Andrew Lord was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 21,250.00 (€ 15,579.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Andrew Lord have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2014 the work Jug was auctioned for USD 30,000.00 (€ 21,775.42).
