Auction result well in line with expectations

This work without title by Andrew Lord was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,133.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andrew Lord - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jug, which sold at auction in March 2014 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 21,775.42).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Andrew Lord kam im März 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.133,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Andrew Lord mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jug beobachtet, die im März 2014 für USD 30.000,00 (€ 21.775,42) versteigert wurde.
