Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two coffee pots and tray. Grey. 1985. by Andrew Lord was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2021. The price achieved of USD 6,930.00 (€ 6,122.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andrew Lord - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jug, which sold at auction in March 2014 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 21,775.42).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.930,00 (€ 6.122,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Andrew Lord mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jug beobachtet, die im März 2014 für USD 30.000,00 (€ 21.775,42) versteigert wurde.
