Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Beijing Wawa - Mermaid by Zhang Hui was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2013. The result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,901.37) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Hui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Miraculous Slop Analysis 1 in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 49,651.76).
