Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zhang Hui achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2014. In the Boundless: Contemporary Art auction, the work Beijing Wa-Wa - Sparkler (Two Works) sold for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 17,668.01) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Hui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Miraculous Slop Analysis 1, which sold at auction in May 2014 for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 49,651.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Hui erzielte im Juni 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Beijing Wa-Wa - Sparkler (Two Works) für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 17.668,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Hui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Miraculous Slop Analysis 1 beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für HKD 525.000,00 (€ 49.651,76) versteigert wurde.
