Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bei Jing Wa Wa - White (Beijing Doll - White) by Zhang Hui was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia auction at Christies in New York in September 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,066.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Hui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Miraculous Slop Analysis 1 in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 49,651.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bei Jing Wa Wa - White (Beijing Doll - White) von Zhang Hui wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.066,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Hui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Miraculous Slop Analysis 1 im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 49.651,76).
