Auction result misses estimated price range
In July last year a collector was able to acquire the work Beijing Doll by Zhang Hui for USD 535.50 (€ 524.90). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Online at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Hui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Miraculous Slop Analysis 1 in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 49,651.76).
