Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Yasumasa Morimura could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open | Online auction, the work Criticism and the Lover, A changed hands for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,246.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yasumasa Morimura achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Inner Dialogue with Frida Kahlo in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 66,000.00 (€ 49,770.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yasumasa Morimura konnte im Juli 2019 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion First Open | Online wechselte die Arbeit Criticism and the Lover, A für USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.246,18) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yasumasa Morimura erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Inner Dialogue with Frida Kahlo im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 66.000,00 (€ 49.770,00).
