It achieved a price of USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,554.95), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by Yasumasa Morimura have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Inner Dialogue with Frida Kahlo in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 66,000.00 (€ 49,770.00).

Die Arbeit An Inner Dialogue with Frida Kahlo (Gift 2) von Yasumasa Morimura wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 9.554,95) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yasumasa Morimura auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Inner Dialogue with Frida Kahlo im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 66.000,00 (€ 49.770,00).
