Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sunrise Fisherman, Provincetown (Seiners); and Provincetown From the Boat by William Zorach was sold in the Editions & Works on Paper auction at Phillips in New York in October this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,556.00 (€ 3,364.88). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Zorach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Spirit of the Dance' in December 2004 with an auction result of USD 365,900.00 (€ 270,276.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sunrise Fisherman, Provincetown (Seiners); and Provincetown From the Boat von William Zorach wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.556,00 (€ 3.364,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Zorach erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Spirit of the Dance' im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 365.900,00 (€ 270.276,26).
