It achieved a price of USD 32,000.00 (€ 29,336.27), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Admittedly, works by William Zorach have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Spirit of the Dance' in December 2004 with an auction result of USD 365,900.00 (€ 270,276.26).

Die Arbeit Pumas: A Pair of Bronzes von William Zorach kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 32.000,00 (€ 29.336,27) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Zorach auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Spirit of the Dance' im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 365.900,00 (€ 270.276,26).
