Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mera by William Zorach was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in September this year. The price achieved of USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,814.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Zorach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Spirit of the Dance' in December 2004 with an auction result of USD 365,900.00 (€ 270,276.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mera von William Zorach kam im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.814,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Zorach erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Spirit of the Dance' im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 365.900,00 (€ 270.276,26).
