Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by William Wood was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April 2008. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,204.39) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Wood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Young Officer, In Red Coat With Blue Collar, Gold Epaulette And White Cross-Belt With Gold Plate, Black Cravat in July 2005 with an auction result of GBP 11,400.00 (€ 16,535.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von William Wood kam im April 2008 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.204,39) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Wood erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Young Officer, In Red Coat With Blue Collar, Gold Epaulette And White Cross-Belt With Gold Plate, Black Cravat im Juli 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.400,00 (€ 16.535,59).
