The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,689.34), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Daniels - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vanitas Ii, which sold at auction in February 2010 for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 23,706.35).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.689,34) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von William Daniels mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vanitas Ii beobachtet, die im Februar 2010 für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 23.706,35) versteigert wurde.
