Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by William Daniels achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2017. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work The Shipwreck sold for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,811.65) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by William Daniels; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Vanitas Ii sold at auction in February 2010 with the realized price of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 23,706.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Daniels erzielte im Juni 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit The Shipwreck für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.811,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 4.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von William Daniels; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Vanitas Ii im Februar 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 23.706,35).
