The work Totem (10) by William Daniels was sold in the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in London in July last year. It achieved a price of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 6,018.66), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Daniels - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vanitas Ii, which sold at auction in February 2010 for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 23,706.35).

Die Arbeit Totem (10) von William Daniels wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 6.018,66) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Für andere Arbeiten von William Daniels mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vanitas Ii beobachtet, die im Februar 2010 für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 23.706,35) versteigert wurde.
