It achieved a price of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 6,018.66), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Daniels - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vanitas Ii, which sold at auction in February 2010 for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 23,706.35).
