Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by William Daniels was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in July 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,040.00 (€ 4,248.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by William Daniels have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vanitas Ii in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 23,706.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von William Daniels kam im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.040,00 (€ 4.248,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Daniels auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vanitas Ii im Februar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 23.706,35).
