This artwork by William Daniels achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in February 2010. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Vanitas Ii sold for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 23,706.35) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. This high result makes Vanitas Ii the most expensive artwork by William Daniels that we have observed at auctions so far.
