Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Legend Of The Heart by Varujan Boghosian was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,858.87). Admittedly, works by Varujan Boghosian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Night in April 2010 with an auction result of USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,336.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Legend Of The Heart von Varujan Boghosian im September 2011 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 2.500,00 (€ 1.858,87) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Varujan Boghosian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Night im April 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.336,79).
