Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled Construction by Varujan Boghosian was auctioned at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of USD 850.00 (€ 823.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Varujan Boghosian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Night in April 2010 with an auction result of USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,336.79).

Die Arbeit Untitled Construction von Varujan Boghosian kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 850,00 (€ 823,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Varujan Boghosian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Night im April 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.336,79).
