Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gulliver by Tom Otterness was auctioned at Christies in New York in November this year. The price achieved of USD 252,000.00 (€ 231,023.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tom Otterness have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Large Bear in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,512,500.00 (€ 1,335,776.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Gulliver von Tom Otterness kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 231.023,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tom Otterness auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Large Bear im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.512.500,00 (€ 1.335.776,74).
