Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bank by Tom Otterness was auctioned at Christies in October 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 27,500.00 (€ 23,805.40) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom Otterness achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Large Bear in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,512,500.00 (€ 1,335,776.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bank von Tom Otterness kam im Oktober 2021 bei Christies zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 23.805,40) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom Otterness erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Large Bear im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.512.500,00 (€ 1.335.776,74).
