Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled, 1984 by Tom Otterness was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in February 2021. The price achieved of USD 11,475.00 (€ 9,488.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom Otterness achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Large Bear in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,512,500.00 (€ 1,335,776.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled, 1984 von Tom Otterness kam im Februar 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.475,00 (€ 9.488,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom Otterness erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Large Bear im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.512.500,00 (€ 1.335.776,74).
