Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Opposite Vertical by Tatsuo Miyajima was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2019. The »bidding war« ended at USD 47,500.00 (€ 42,304.95), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Tatsuo Miyajima have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work T.L. SAKURA in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 2,900,000.00 (€ 286,529.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Opposite Vertical von Tatsuo Miyajima wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 42.304,95) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tatsuo Miyajima auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit T.L. SAKURA im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.900.000,00 (€ 286.529,61).
