The »bidding war« ended at EUR 7,095.00 42% above the estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stanislaw Ignacy Witkiewicz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Weibliches Portrait in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 112,500.00.

Die Arbeit From the series Improvised Scenes Zakopane von Stanislaw Ignacy Witkiewicz wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Modern bei VAN HAM versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 7.095,00 und damit 42% über dem Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stanislaw Ignacy Witkiewicz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Weibliches Portrait im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 112.500,00.
