This artwork by Stanislaw Ignacy Witkiewicz achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in November last year. In the 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam auction, the work La peur du fou (Fear of the fool) sold for EUR 8,190.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stanislaw Ignacy Witkiewicz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Weibliches Portrait in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 112,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Stanislaw Ignacy Witkiewicz erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam wurde die Arbeit La peur du fou (Fear of the fool) für EUR 8.190,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stanislaw Ignacy Witkiewicz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Weibliches Portrait im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 112.500,00.
