In November 2010 Phillips in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Part II, which included this untitled work by Slater Bradley. The »bidding war« ended at USD 22,500.00 (€ 17,259.90), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Slater Bradley; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Ladies and Gentlemen We are Floating in Space (02) sold at auction in May 2012 with the realized price of USD 32,500.00 (€ 26,285.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im November 2010 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Part II durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Slater Bradley zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 17.259,90) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Slater Bradley; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Ladies and Gentlemen We are Floating in Space (02) im Mai 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 26.285,99).
