Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Slater Bradley achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in March 2013. In the Under the Influence auction, the work Factory Ikon sold for USD 16,250.00 (€ 12,679.46) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Slater Bradley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ladies and Gentlemen We are Floating in Space (02), which sold at auction in May 2012 for USD 32,500.00 (€ 26,285.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Slater Bradley erzielte im März 2013 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Under the Influence wurde die Arbeit Factory Ikon für USD 16.250,00 (€ 12.679,46) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Slater Bradley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ladies and Gentlemen We are Floating in Space (02) beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für USD 32.500,00 (€ 26.285,99) versteigert wurde.
