Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work There Is No Border Here by Shilpa Gupta for USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,426.69). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shilpa Gupta achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Someone Else: A Library of 35 Books Written Anonymously or Under Pseudonyms in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 42,267.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit There Is No Border Here von Shilpa Gupta für USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.426,69) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shilpa Gupta erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Someone Else: A Library of 35 Books Written Anonymously or Under Pseudonyms im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 42.267,31).
