The price achieved of USD 47,500.00 (€ 42,267.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Someone Else: A Library of 35 Books Written Anonymously or Under Pseudonyms is the most expensive artwork by Shilpa Gupta that we have observed at auctions so far.
