Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Shilpa Gupta could be acquired at Christies in Paris in June 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Get Art ! A 20th Century Escape auction, the work Sans titre changed hands for EUR 2,750.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shilpa Gupta achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Someone Else: A Library of 35 Books Written Anonymously or Under Pseudonyms in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 42,267.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shilpa Gupta konnte im Juni 2020 bei Christies in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Get Art ! A 20th Century Escape wechselte die Arbeit Sans titre für EUR 2.750,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shilpa Gupta erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Someone Else: A Library of 35 Books Written Anonymously or Under Pseudonyms im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 42.267,31).
