In December 2014 Christies in London held the auction The India Sale, which included the work Wheredoiendandyoubegin by Shilpa Gupta. The auction ended at the price of INR 2,000,000.00 (€ 26,113.54), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of INR 1,500,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. Other works by Shilpa Gupta have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2016 the work Someone Else: A Library of 35 Books Written Anonymously or Under Pseudonyms was auctioned for USD 47,500.00 (€ 42,267.31).
