Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Shahzia Sikander could be acquired at Phillips in New York in April this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work Fantastical Forms #1; and #2 changed hands for USD 7,620.00 (€ 6,902.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shahzia Sikander achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Veil 'N Trail in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 325,000.00 (€ 208,761.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shahzia Sikander konnte im April diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wechselte die Arbeit Fantastical Forms #1; and #2 für USD 7.620,00 (€ 6.902,17) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shahzia Sikander erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Veil 'N Trail im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 325.000,00 (€ 208.761,56).
