In November 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work I-Be Area by Ryan Trecartin. The »bidding war« ended at USD 62,500.00 (€ 50,249.24), 39% above the upper estimate. Other works by Ryan Trecartin have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 63,842.78) in October 2014 for the work A Family Finds Entertainment.
