In September 2014 Christies in New York held the auction First Open/NYC, which included the work Mother by Ryan Trecartin. The »bidding war« ended at USD 47,500.00 (€ 37,614.82), 58% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ryan Trecartin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Family Finds Entertainment sold at auction in October 2014 with the realized price of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 63,842.78).

Im September 2014 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open/NYC durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mother von Ryan Trecartin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 37.614,82) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ryan Trecartin; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit A Family Finds Entertainment im Oktober 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 63.842,78).
