Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Maquette For Portal by Roxy Paine was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. The price achieved of USD 37,800.00 (€ 32,454.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roxy Paine - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Model For Bluff, which sold at auction in March 2019 for USD 131,250.00 (€ 116,895.26).
