Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Maquette for Portal by Roxy Paine for USD 18,900.00 (€ 16,699.06). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art | New York at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Roxy Paine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Model For Bluff in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 131,250.00 (€ 116,895.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Maquette for Portal von Roxy Paine für USD 18.900,00 (€ 16.699,06) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art | New York bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roxy Paine auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Model For Bluff im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 131.250,00 (€ 116.895,26).
