Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Roxy Paine could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in July 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Online | New York auction, the work Scumak S2-P2-DB changed hands for USD 4,410.00 (€ 3,717.13) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roxy Paine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Model For Bluff in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 131,250.00 (€ 116,895.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Roxy Paine konnte im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York wechselte die Arbeit Scumak S2-P2-DB für USD 4.410,00 (€ 3.717,13) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roxy Paine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Model For Bluff im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 131.250,00 (€ 116.895,26).
