Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robin Rhode could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work Wall Of Water changed hands for USD 1,375.00 (€ 1,213.38) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robin Rhode achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Street Gym in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 92,500.00 (€ 68,757.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robin Rhode konnte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wechselte die Arbeit Wall Of Water für USD 1.375,00 (€ 1.213,38) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robin Rhode erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Street Gym im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 92.500,00 (€ 68.757,90).
