Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work 'Expression of Joy', 2009 by Robin Rhode was sold in the Modern & Contemporary African Art auction at Bonhams in London in October 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,100.00 (€ 6,042.12). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robin Rhode achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Street Gym in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 92,500.00 (€ 68,757.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit 'Expression of Joy', 2009 von Robin Rhode wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.100,00 (€ 6.042,12) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robin Rhode erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Street Gym im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 92.500,00 (€ 68.757,90).
