Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robert Lazzarini could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Cigarettes changed hands for USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,686.40) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Lazzarini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gun (V), which sold at auction in March 2013 for USD 36,250.00 (€ 28,284.96).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Lazzarini konnte im November 2012 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wechselte die Arbeit Cigarettes für USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.686,40) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Lazzarini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gun (V) beobachtet, die im März 2013 für USD 36.250,00 (€ 28.284,96) versteigert wurde.
