It achieved a price of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,474.80), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Lazzarini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gun (V), which sold at auction in March 2013 for USD 36,250.00 (€ 28,284.96).

Die Arbeit Cigarettes, 2004 von Robert Lazzarini kam im Juli 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.474,80) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Lazzarini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gun (V) beobachtet, die im März 2013 für USD 36.250,00 (€ 28.284,96) versteigert wurde.
