Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2017 Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Robert Lazzarini. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,125.00 (€ 1,796.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Lazzarini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gun (V) in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 36,250.00 (€ 28,284.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Robert Lazzarini zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.125,00 (€ 1.796,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Lazzarini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gun (V) im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.250,00 (€ 28.284,96).
