Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work brass knuckles (iv) by Robert Lazzarini was auctioned at Bonhams in July this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 576.00 (€ 522.69). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Lazzarini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gun (V) in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 36,250.00 (€ 28,284.96).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit brass knuckles (iv) von Robert Lazzarini im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 576,00 (€ 522,69) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Lazzarini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gun (V) im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.250,00 (€ 28.284,96).
