Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Linwood by Robert Kushner was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 500.00 – 700.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 375.00 (€ 330.92). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Kushner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Birds of Paradise II in March this year with an auction result of USD 21,420.00 (€ 19,701.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Linwood von Robert Kushner im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 375,00 (€ 330,92) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Kushner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Birds of Paradise II im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.420,00 (€ 19.701,99).
